KLARÄLVEN (fellow trips)

The river Klarälven in the province of Värmland, Sweden, offers an ideal canoe experience for the whole family. With options ranging from 2 to 5 days, the river, with its calm flowing water, devoid of power plants or rapids, provides a picturesque landscape with steep valley walls and flatter cultural scenery.

The river is described as a canoeing paradise with beautiful sandy beaches, sandbanks, small islands, and opportunities to spot beavers and moose. Transport to and from the starting point is provided, and along the way, there are opportunities to purchase food and drinks in nearby villages.

Accommodation options range from camping in nature to staying at campsites or in cabins along the river. With an average flow speed of 3 kilometers per hour, the Klarälven offers relaxed, scenic journeys suitable for the whole family.

This journey can also be made with a family canoe, which, with a buoyancy of 500 kg, is suitable for a family with two children and luggage.
