Beautiful tour starting from Tyfors and ending in Sundsjön
SVARTÄLVEN
The Svartälven canoe tour starts in Tyfors, Dalarna, and takes participants on the winding Svartälven River, which turns into a series of small lakes after Lesjöfors and ends at Sundsjön. This 6-day trek covers about 70 kilometers.
Along the route of about are uninhabited islets and wildlife camping sites, equipped with shelters and/or dry toilets. The trip offers opportunities to spot beavers or other wildlife.
There is also the opportunity for activities such as swimming, fishing and exploring uninhabited islets and shores. There are 11 land crossings necessary for this trip, ranging from 50 meters to 2 kilometers. After 3 to 4 days you will pass a village where purchases can be made. A nature map is needed which can be purchased at the canoe center.
With its varied landscape, the Svartälven offers an adventurous and varied canoe tour in East Värmland, suitable for beginners, families, but also for more experienced canoeists.
